Providing a school-to-Career educational program through vocational training, secondary education pursuit, leadership training, functional life skill training and community inclusion opportunities for teens with disabilities.

WorkTrek students are generally not college-bound and are provided with tutorial, Employability Skills training, drug prevention seminars, the design of a career path plan and assisted in obtaining employment upon their acquisition of a special high school diploma via referral to CHAC Community Employment Services. The two components of WorkTrek ensure that every teen, despite their level of academic or social functioning can be assisted: WorkTrek A assists students with the most profound disabilities to graduate with a special diploma, gain skill training through Occupational Training and eventual employment. WorkTrek B assists those who will graduate with a special diploma and some who are in Dropout Prevention Programs and will transition into community-based employment.

Students involved in HIGH SCHOOL / HIGH TECH have goals to pursue post-secondary education. They are assisted in developing a challenging high school curriculum, attain job shadowing/internships to familiarize themselves with workforce needs/ requirements, to prepare for post-secondary education and design a career path plan.High School/High Tech captures the enthusiasm and hunger for hands-on work experiences of students with disabilities The curriculum is designed to meet student interests in math, science, engineering or arts-related projects with their desire to have a job in the community. Students are exposed to curriculum that motivates them to learn academic subjects that are related to their career goals. Students are able to envision and prepare for a future that includes post-secondary educational choices and options.
